Shes Crafty (cue Beastie Boys song now...)

Nana included Benjamin Moore idea cards in the boys last care package (she is always good for including random, fun stuff to read and look at!) One of the cards was a photo of this sailor inspired kids room:
Boy's nautical room painted with Benjamin Moore colors: breath of fresh air, 806; stunning 826; lemon drops, 2019-50; and deep rose, 2004-10.

So that is now somewhat our "inspiration room" since the walls are already a similar light ocean blue color. I was inspired to copy the nautical flags but was disappointed to go to the website and find out they were painted on the wall (which should not of been a surprise since the room is designed by a PAINT company!?! DUH!!)
My little creative brain then started thinking of materials that I could use to make my own DIY flags (esp since the real flags cost upwards of $30 EACH!) and FELT came to mind: cheap, easy to find, easy to assemble with craft glue, durable. I popped over to Michaels Craft store and this is the end result:

The rest of the room is still a work in progress. I am undecided as to what to put over the window or how to decorate their bunk beds in a non permanent way. Pop wants to build a tug boat around their bunkbeds...really? We shall see....
