We took the pool down today so I guess summer is officially over. This is our first experience with above ground pools and summer being over!? Pnut was a little bit sad at first until you reminded him that the water was too cold to swim in anyway, even with his super-duper wetsuit his lips would turn blue. Luckily two things cheered him up... the big sandy ring that was under the pool was a perfect putting green (until Grammy and Pop built an awesome fire ring) and Daddy made the boys a tree swing with an old barge rope that he brought home.
The rope swing was an event in and of itself. My husband is part monkey...it was amazing to watch him climb the rope and into the tree! The boys are THRILLED with the newest backyard addition, especially Pnut. Spud needs to work on his upper body strength a bit.
