Race Cars and Tugboats, Oh My!

The Savannah Speed Classic is always an exciting event for this tugboat family. Since the Tug offices are located behind the race track, we get to attend the races and have "priority" seating.
We had just arrived, parked the truck, set up our chairs, ready to watch the race....first lap...and CRUNCH!!

We really thought the drivers were going to fight it out on the track...

FRONT ROW SEATING for all the action!

PINK for October!

My three favorites!!

These are my favorite cars to watch on the racetrack...they have such flair!

This mini won its race class...it was zippy!

Follow the Fiddlers

We FINALLY followed the fiddlers today! Fiddler crabs! There are 10 of them hidden along Calhoun Street and Old Town Bluffton. Every time we are at the Calhoun Street dock, we see the sign and say "one of these days we need to look for them..." I thought it officially began there, but I was wrong!

Fiddler #1

Fiddler #2

Fiddler #3...I love the BIG crab mural on the building

Fiddler #4

Fiddler #5

Fiddler #6

Fiddler #7
At this point we were stumped. We knew where crabs 9 &10 were...but where is Fiddler #8????
I then remembered seeing a blurb in the paper about construction on the corner of May River and Bluffton Rd...and a fancy Oak tree being planted there. Mmmmm, could crab #8 be there??
Fiddler #8!!!!

Yes! Not only was crab #8 there, but a beautiful paver map of Old Town and the location of ALL the crabs!

And THIS is the official start of the search...we did our search backwards.

Fiddler #9 hiding up high.

Last one! Fiddler #10
