Waiting, waiting....
I am a little behind in my blogging! We escaped to Florida for a week and then Christmas took all my attention and then the excitement of Daddy being home for a few days...as much as I love to share our adventures it is difficult to sit in front of a computer when I could be spending time with my family. (CrAzY concept, eh?) There is hope... Andrew agreed to help out at work and cover 3 days which will combine with his usual 7 days SO he will be at work for the next 10 days!!! As much as he will be missed it will give me some time in the evenings to update our adventures. :o)

Merry Christmas!
Then the angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy
which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11

Christmas morning is here!!
Andrew was able to leave the boat in the middle of the night after their last job and come home so that he could wake up Christmas morning with all of us. Usually its the kids that wake up the household but not here... we had to wake the boys up in order to start early so that we could have our traditional breakfast casserole and then dinner together at noon so Andrew could be back at work by 2! :o/ (Luckily he will not have to work Christmas day again for the next 6 years because of the calendar so we were very grateful for his time this year.)
So after we rolled those sleeping angels out of bed we let them open ONE present. I was surprised that they were not more excited about Christmas morning but then again we have not made that big of a deal of it... I'm still not sure if they even know who Santa is? They were perfectly content with their trucks and eating together and then opening presents!
Aunt Karen, Great Grammy and Great Pop arrived for breakfast...our first official Southernmost Mercer Christmas can begin! How blessed we are to be together :o)
Now that our bellies are full it is PRESENT time!! Wooohoooo!
Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!
Luke 2:14

Leafs Leafs Everywhere!
Fall is something new and exciting for all of us. Raking leaves and jumping in the pile was an awesome new experience for our two little Florida boys. Daddy showed them how to rake all the leaves into a pile and JUMP! Rake them back up and then JUMP again!!
One pile of leaves is never enough... you need to combine ALL the leaves from the front yard with the leaves in the back yard so you have a supr BIG pile to jump in!
